| Glendoick’s Amazing Red Leaved Hybrids
Everred & Wine and Roses A breakthrough in Rhododendron Breeding. 25 years in the making, these have some of the most attractive foliage ever seen in rhododendrons and are the first with red leaves which persist year round. (both are protected by EU plant variety rights; propagation for sale without a licence is illegal). Peter and Kenneth Cox will have further red leaved hybrids to release in years to come. At present, these are exclusive to Glendoick. Both are H4 in hardiness. Semi-dwarf, slow-growing to 1m (3ft). |

[85/1C] H4 Semi-Dwf EM-M Dark red-purple flowers (seldom), April-May. Slow-growing dwarf: stunning leaves the colour of purple cotinus or copper beech all year round. Everyone who sees this wants to have one. It needs good drainage but is otherwise quite easy to please.
