Christmas Trees At Glendoick

Glendoick's Christmas Trees are grown on the slopes of CraigOwl just behind Dundee and delivered fresh to the Garden Centre during the first week in December.  We are extremely proud to offer you these beautiful Scottish grown Nordman Fir trees and can promise you unrivalled value and quality.

The Nordman Fir has a lower needle drop and we've provided you with some handy tips for caring for your tree in order that you and your family can enjoy the fresh, everygreen scent from the day it goes up to the day it comes down.

Locally grown Nordmann Fir Christmas Trees, cut fresh and stored outside.

How to look after your Scottish Grown Cut Nordman Fir Christmas Tree

Keep your tree outdoors till 10-15th December so it will last through Christmas and New Year without dropping too many needles

The warmer the room, the more water the tree will need and the more it is likely to drop needles.

Avoid placing tree too close to a fire or radiator, as this will cause excessive moisture loss and needle drop.

  • When you get the tree home, saw 2.5cm (1in) off the bottom with a pruning saw
  • Place in a stand with a well of water in the base
  • Check and top up the water when the level drops
  • With care, cut trees should last about four weeks.
