Vacancy - Retail Sales Assistant
Sales Assistant required for our busy Food Hall
This is a full time, permanent position.
Hours of work 9am to 5.30pm (5pm in winter months). Normally every second weekend off. 10 days from 14.
Essential criteria - excellent customer service skills; numerate & literate; smart, clean and well presented; good time keeper and must be reliable; able to work on own or as part of a team, good IT skills and have experience in a fast paced retail environment.
Desirable criteria - previous experience in retail, cash handling, use of epos system, merchandising and experience in a food environment.
Duties will include stocking shelves, merchandising displays, use of EPOS till system, checking stock dates, ordering stock in conjunction with Supervisors, planning promotions and themed events, keeping the shop clean and tidy, using the back-office EPOS system helping out in the garden centre as required.
Meets minimum wage requirements.
Full training will be given to suitable applicant.
