Description Striking bright red, a wonderful plant in May to June. Very unusual species, given its own Genus by some authorities. Does best in the north of the UK. A deciduous creeper, often flowers twice a year.

Further Information Rhododendron Dwarf Species Loses its leaves in winter and flowers on and off from may through the summer. Excellent for rock gardens in the North of Europe. Wild distribution Kamtschatka, Aleutian Islands, Alaska, Saghalien, Kurile Islands and North Japan.
