Permanent Foodhall / Cookshop Supervisor Job description

We are looking for a Permanent Foodhall / Cookshop Supervisor to join the team here at Glendoick Garden Centre. We are a family-owned Garden Centre based next to the busy A90 between Perth and Dundee.

The hours for this position are c. 30 hours per week including every second weekend. We are open 9am to 5pm
The Supervisor rate of pay is £13.50-14.50/15 per hour,  depending on experience and training required. The role may be adaptable around school hours during the week but weekend days need to be from 9am to 5pm.


The Role
Passionate about food, food trends and cookware, you will ensure the smooth running of the Foodhall / Cookshop delivering excellent shop floor standards and eye -catching displays.

You will support the Foodhall team but maybe required to support the gardencentre team when required.

Develop your knowledge in all aspects of Foodhall & Cookshop enabling first class customer   service to create an exceptional shopping experience for our customers helping them to make informed purchases.


What you will be doing as a Foodhall Supervisor?
• Oversee stock replenishment and merchandising across retail shop floor.
• Supporting management to ensure the safe and secure operation of the Foodhall.

• Deputise when the Foodhall Manager is not on duty.

• Opening & closing procedure.
• Meeting all Food Safety and Hygiene requirements.
• Advising our customers on products for their needs, taking every opportunity to WOW.
• Checking/booking in stock and ordering.
• Till operation and serving customers.
• Oversee general housekeeping and cleaning as required.

• Moving stock from delivery points to Foodhall. Heavy lifting may be involved but we have trolleys and pallet trucks.

•  Use of Microsoft office, essential, &  Opsuite EPOS/till system, will be given training. Confidence in computer operation is a must.

• Collating Social Media content for the foodhall marketing: video, photos and text.
