  • You'll find a 20-30 minute fairy trail through the ancient oak trees.
  • Our talented fairy house builders Phil and Ian, along with Annie, Lynne, Dave and Jim have been hard at work for months, painting fairy doors, making paths and seats and shelters in our ancient oak woods...
  • You'll find the entrance to the fairy trail in our display garden near the outdoor play.
  • We have lots of lovely photo opportunities in the woods....   #glendoick
  • Make a wish to the forest fairies at our hugging tree.
  • Don't be surprised if you hear some curious noises from some of the woodland inhabitants.

FairyTrail Rules and Safety

  • PLEASE dont touch the fairy doors and ladders... it is bad luck.. and it scares the fairies.
  • NOTE this is a rough path, not suitable for wheelchairs and buggies.
  • Please stay on the paths as there are brambles and easily damaged plants and bulbs in the woodland, and you might squish a fairy by accident..
  • All children must be accompanied as there is water and steep slopes.
  • Please stay away from the drainage ditches. We once saw a crocodile there.. and the beavers can bite.

Play area is open every day 9.30 to 4pm.   Admission FREE except when we have special events on...
